Emma has been a member of FMFA since April 2019. Now expecting her first child, here is what she has to say about training at FMFA!
Why did you decide to join FMFA?
Because I love working out in a group environment, I lack motivation if I have to do it alone!
Did you have specific goals when joining?
To get stronger and improve my cardio fitness for other activities like biking and hiking! Plus working out just makes me feel good!
What has kept you coming?
Great workouts, the sweaty and smiling faces and it’s my favorite way to start my day. I love that I can still continue to train through pregnancy, just scaling to suit where I am at!
What are the biggest things you have noticed since joining us ?
Stronger and better endurance definitely. But right now being pregnant it’s more of a mental thing for me. Being able to continue working out even though it’s scaled and a lower intensity just sets me up for a great day/ week!
Do you have any advice for anyone looking to start or even for a current member?
For anyone looking to start I’d say, the hardest part is just starting but once you get some momentum you don’t want to stop. And also not to be intimidated because we are all at different levels and on different journeys and there are scaling options for everyone with no judgement!
What is something we don’t know about you that you would be willing to share with us? Even silly things are awesome to share!
Umm.. probably that I’m cranky when I don’t get to workout. My partner would definitely agree that Emma that gets to do her workouts is a happy Emma lol
